At a recent experimental video jam, people were invited to play with sound and visuals using a customized control setup. Using a camera, dvd player, video mixer, and a Kaoss Pad, guests were able to trigger and blend sound and images using a simple touch-sensitive interface. Every once in a while I like to work with something completely different from what I am doing at the time (which is usually electronic dance music). Andean Aria is a result of one such exercise. I enjoyed making it sound as though you really were outdoors. This song is especially fun to listen to with a good set of headphones on - there is detail that gets missed when listening on speakers in an open room. Enjoy!
